Taking house music to the next level of soul, New York born and Jersey bred deejay, producer, remixer and performer, Duce Martinez, is an inspirational mix of hip hop and house with Latin roots that seem to channel the great Reverend Martin Luther King. An original find- Duce’s music knows no bounds and is evident from reports of his fans tearing up the dance floors worldwide. With four 2010 releases, and more in the works- he is a regular in Italy, England, LA and NY where he works with an impressive variety of record labels and artists.
Duce began his career as a break dancer in the legendary group the Dynamic Breakers where he was featured in film (The Last Dragon, Beat Street, That’s Dancin); TV (NBC’s-The New Show and ABC’s, Cathy & Regis Show) and performed alongside hip hop heavy’s such as Run DMC, The FatBoys, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J, and Jermaine Dupree.
In the early 1990’s, Duce Martinez worked with top recording artists such as T La Rock, Fearless Four, King Sun, Lauren Hill, Treacherous Three, Cold Crush Brothers.
