Aaron Dahmen is the host of radio and television show ‘The Aaron Dahmen Show’, streaming on Spreaker, Twitter, Tumblr, Soundcloud, Facebook and YouTube online platforms. Born in 1998, Aaron has been broadcasting and producing since the age of nine, featuring in various popular television commercials and New Zealand blockbuster film ‘The Dark Horse’, directed by James Napier Robertson, which opened the New Zealand and Toronto International Film Festivals in 2014. He produced a WordPress blog for the FIFA World Cup that year, and has covered various news event from around the world as an official contributor for stuff.co.nz and CNN iReport. Through this, he was involved in an interview with John Campbell (Campbell Live, TV3 NZ) and completed a full match analysis from Eden Park in the 2014 Super Rugby competition. This also led to his selection for the December edition of TVNZ Sunday program ‘Neighbourhood.'

The following year then marked the beginning of a rapid increase in publicity for Aaron, who decided to form his own media program, currently broadcasting on Saturday afternoons. The show began as a low-key radio segment, named Dahmen Live and covered world sport events. However, after the creation of various different media domains publicising the program, the show progressed rapidly, reaching over 60 listeners on the opening night and broadcasting the latest in news from New Zealand and around the world. By this stage, it had been rebranded as 'The Aaron Dahmen Show' and a Public Relations Manager in Elijah Fa'afiu was recruited while Jason Renau took the position as a Panelist. The show's popularity steadily rose, and Aaron was given the opportunity to visit the 'Crowd goes Wild' Studios at SKY Television in late May. Following this, he worked with Duncan Garner at his RadioLive program 'Drive' and was in contact with a number of high-profile presenters. Among these were TVNZ U.S. Correspondent Jack Tame, Mediaworks Executive Mark Jennings, More FM Producer Christian Boston, TVNZ Sport Reporter Andrew Saville and Lana Simmons-Donaldson from Maori Television. In early June too, only a month after the show first went to air, Jono and Ben, from TV3 and The Rock, contacted Aaron personally, complementing his up-and-coming talent.

Due to the show's positive publicity, Aaron was handed some amazing opportunities. Jason Pine from Radio Sport contacted him from Wellington, asking for a visit when available, while Simon Dallow from One News also exchanged messages, culminating in Aaron going into the TVNZ studio and experiencing a 6pm Bulletin live, along with conducting invaluable discussions with Simon and news presenter Wendy Petrie. At the same time, 3 Sport Presenter Michelle Pickles and Aaron were in contact, and he attended the Mediaworks studio only a few weeks later, working with Mike McRoberts, Adam Hollingworth and Andrew Gourdie. The personnel at TV3 welcomed him with open arms, and he was asked to apply for a work experience role in November after the media brand had redeveloped their identity. Newstalk ZB Producer Peter Everatt then also invited him to discuss future opportunities at NZME after a visit to the Rachel Smalley 'First at 5' show.

As is becoming more and more evident as his talent develops, listeners and the like can see that Aaron is a committed and passionate leader who is willing to pursue a career in broadcasting and aims to host televised shows in the future.
