In the true Japanese tradition, we present spirited and powerful Samurai entertainment. Our performances are packed with fun and excitement for one and all!

Our concept at Office PEDAC is ‘Real Japan’. We have combined traditional Japanese dance, sword fighting (chumbala) and other Japanese cultural arts, to create a totally new kind of entertainment — Samurai Cafe, in which guests can become part of the play; Japanese actors-to-go; Chumbalaction, which combines katana fighting(kenjutsu) and contemporary dance; and our own specialized talent agency.


CHUMBALACTION
Chumbala is a unique Japanese traditional culture. Using katana (Japanese sword), you can also get your exercise. Sound like fun? That’s Chumbalaction!  You can release your stress with simple movements and the action of fighting. Taught by choreographer Licaco, who studied contemporary dance in England. We can also make a sophisticated dance show using chumbala,

SAMURAI CAFE
Open the door of Samurai Cafe and find a paradise, where you are the king, the queen, the prince, the princess — a totally new kind of entertainment with you the customer joining in the fun. While enjoying your food and drink you can also enjoy authentic Samurai fighting — nothing virtual here, we fight live at Samurai Cafe! We can also arrange a short version of Samurai Cafe for any occasion. (We deliver!)

BUSHIDO WORKSHOP
‘Breathing’, ‘sitting’ (seiza), ‘holding the sword’, ‘concentrating on tanden’ (navel chakra). Let’s study these Japanese spirits together. Knowing bushido , you can change your daily life. Perfect for motivation seminars and culture classes.

JAPANESE BRUSH PAINTING
Using a special Japanese painting brush,  you can learn and enjoy painting and calligraphy. Learn to paint portraits of others, or yourself. Even more fun when it’s in the style of ukiyoe! Taught by Toshusai Kaisei, who has painted 160,000 portraits.  Enjoy the unique and smooth finesse of the Japanese brush.

2002
Shogeki Bugeidan was organized by Ryusetu Mitake and Saeri Kurohane. Scrupulous and passionate, we have created many authentic Japanese live action shows, performed in countless street performances and festivals, always with thrills and dynamism. We have also done many TV commercials, movies and stage performances, such as Okuni Kabuki at the Kyoto Sanjo Kawara, the world heritage site Nijo Castle, and the Gion Festival. We also performed the play Osaka Castle Rakusei Hiwa outdoors at Osaka Castle Park on the birthday of Hideyoshi, receiving great media attention for our use of real suits of armor and real fire.
2006
Our regular TV program debuted at a CS station. We performed as Noh actors at a Noh theater. We also collaborated with the drum group Kodo.

2007
We became one of Heaven’s Artists of the Tokyo Prefecture. In Kansai, we produced a performance at Sogo Theater.

2008
We restored life to the Oiran Gyoretsu in Nagoya.

2009
We started the Samurai Cafe, JRA, Chumbalaction and continue to deliver an exciting mix of modern and traditional Japanese art and culture
