Eiichi has a PhD in Art History and Philosophy, Melbourne University (2002) and is currently completing his second PhD in Drawing and Art Therapy at the School of Art and Design, Monash University. Eiichi is an Honorary Fellow at Philosophy Department Melbourne University and a Adjunct Research Fellow at Japanese Studies Centre Monash University.
Eiichi has taught various areas including art history, design theory, aesthetics, Western and Eastern philosophy, Japanese culture (including Manga & Anime) and practical art. Eiichi is also an artist using his special technique of drawing called BCD (Bimanual Coordination Drawing or “Combo Drawing”). He is keen on applying his own method of drawing beyond studio art to health and medical & brain sciences area, architecture, and design.
Eiichi is interested in computer game culture and developing new interface language.
