Hi, my name is Dora, and I'm from Port Hardy British Columbia Canada. British Columbia is the first province in Canada, Vancouver Island is in British Columbia Canada, and Port Hardy is on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. I'm totally blind. I was basically born blind weighing in at 1 pound and 6 ounces on December 26! Right from when I was a baby until the age of 17, I could only see lights, shadows, and bright colours out of my right eye only because my left eye was, and still is totally blind. Then at the age of 17, I lost all of that vision out of my right eye, and now I am totally blind and can't see anything. I'm alright with being totally blind because I may not always like what I see in this world, so I would rather wait and stay blind until that verry special day in Heaven! I know that God is with me the whole way, and I will never give up my dream of oneday seeing his face! In order for me to navigate the internet, I use a screen reader called JAWS which stands for "Job Aplication With Speach!" I navigate by using different commands such as:
