Músico/Guitarrista graduado pelo IG&T (Instituto de Guitarra e Técnologia), guitarrista da banda The Clevers, artista solo, professor de guitarra/violão, compositor e produtor.
Rodrigo Spencer começou a ter interesse pela música bem cedo. Seus pais sempre ouviram Beatles, Queen, Eric Clapton, Tom Jobim, Toquinho, Chico Buarque, Secos e Molhados, Lulu Santos, etc... Aos 10 anos de idade fez aulas de teclado, depois ganhou uma bateria de seus pais, na qual passava o dia inteiro tocando em seu próprio quarto, mas por morar em apartamento logo desistiu da idéia. Sempre ouvindo um grande amigo da família tocar violão, despertou-se o interesse pelas seis cordas. Foi quando seu pai lhe mostrou um antigo violão de sua tia que estava guardado há anos. Era um Del Vecchio 1.964 preto, sem cordas, com o tampo um pouco descolado. Logo Rodrigo Spencer levou para arrumá-lo, colocou nele cordas de aço já para simular uma guitarra e começou a tocar músicas simples. Seus pais notaram o interesse do filho e o matricularam em um Conservatório perto de sua casa aos 13 anos de idade, onde cursou 3 anos aulas de guitarra. Aos 16 anos Rodrigo Spencer tinha ouvido falar do IG&T (Instituto de Guitarra e Tecnologia), onde se matriculou. A partir daí, sua vida mudou completamente, assistindo a workshops e tendo contato com guitarristas consagrados do cenário mundial do rock como Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Jonh Petrucci, Michael Ângelo, Richie Kotzen, Malmsteen e um de seus maiores ídolos, Joe Satriani. Estudando, tocando e convivendo com os melhores guitarristas do Brasil, entre eles Mozart Mello, Wander Taffo, Faiska, Eduardo Ardanuy, Márcio Okayama, Wilson Ramos, Silas Fernandes, entre outros, concluiu o curso do IG&T com o professor Márcio Okayama. Fez também o curso de Set-up com o professor Silas Fernandes, e concluiu também o LEM (Linguagem e Estruturação Musical) com o professor Ednílson Lazzari. Conclusão dos cursos: Conservatório de Música Eduardo de Campos, IG&T (Instituto de Guitarra e Tecnologia) com os professores Zeca Almeida, Jefferson Ardanuy, Mozart Mello, Edu Ardanuy e Márcio Okayama onde graduou-se em Fusion, LEM (Linguagem e Estruturação Musical)com Ednílson Lazzari, Curso de Set-up com Silas Fernandes, Comportamento em Palco com Wilson Ramos, curso no Conservatório Musical Souza Lima com Edu Ardanuy(Dr.Sin), Kiko Loureiro(Angra) e Joe Moghrabi.
VERSION IN ENGLISH: Rodrigo Spencer started to be interested in music at a very early age. Raised by parents who loved listening to Beatles, Queen, Eric Clapton, Tom Jobim, Toquinho, Chico Buarque, Dry and Wet, Lulu Santos, etc, he was constantly exposed at home to different kinds of music. Until the age of 10, he took keyboard classes. Later, his parents gave him drums, which he used to play at his own bedroom for the whole day. But the fact that he lived in an apartment soon caused him to give up the noisy instrument. Often listening to a good friend of the family to play the guitar awoke his interest for six string guitar. It was then that his father showed Rodrigo Spencer the old guitar in which his aunt had learnt how to play, and had left behind when she moved to the United States upon her marriage. It was a 1964 black Del Vecchio, without strings, and its body was becoming unglued. Soon Rodrigo Spencer took it to be fixed, and already in an attempt to simulate an electric guitar, he placed in it steel strings, and started to play simple music. Noticing their son..s interest, his parents registered him at a Music School near their home, where he attended a 3 year guitar course. He was then 13 years old. At the age of 16, Rodrigo Spencer registered at the famous IGT (Institute of Guitar and Technology), and his life changed completely as he started attending workshops and having the opportunitie of meeting in person some consecrated guitarists of the world-wide scene of rock as Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Jonh Petrucci, Michael Ângelo, Richie Kotzen, Malmsteen and one of his idols, Joe Satriani. Studying and playing with the best guitarists of Brazil, amongst them Mozart Mello, Wander Taffo, Faiska, Eduardo Ardanuy, Márcio Okayama, Wilson Branches, Silas Fernandes, Rodrigo Spencer graduated from his 7 year course at IGT under the guidance of teacher Márcio Okayama. He also took the Set-Up course with professor Silas Fernandes, and concluded the LEM (Lingua e Estruturacao Musical - Language and Musical Structuring) with teacher Ednílson Lazzari. AUDIO MUSICAL FORMATION: Studied at Conservatory of Music Eduardo de Campos. Graduated at IGT (Institute of Guitar and Technology) with teachers Zeca Almeida, Jefferson Ardanuy, Mozart Mello, Edu Ardanuy and Márcio Okayama in Fusion. Graduated in LEM (Language and Musical Structuring) with Ednílson Lazzari, Course of Set-up with Silas Fernandes, improvisation with Wilson Ramos, course in the Musical Conservatory Souza Lima with Edu Ardanuy(Dr.Sin), Kiko Loureiro(Angra) and Joe Moghrabi.
